Leaders of the Group of 20 major economies (G-20) included new provisions in their Nov. 16 communique to curb cyber attacks and prevent the cyber theft of digital goods or trade secrets. Specifically, G-20 members said they will refrain from using information and communications technologies (ICTs) to steal intellectual property, trade secrets or other confidential business information "with the intent of providing competitive advantages to companies or commercial sectors."
