Innovation in the beverage segment has continued unabated, with novel ideas occurring in the use of ingredients, packaging formats and flavors. Coca-Cola's Fanta Still line is becoming very extensive and the French market now includes a variant using the high intensity natural sweetener stevia (Reb-A extract). Coca-Cola has already used stevia in Sprite Green (US), while Storms (Switzerland) was the first company to use the ingredient in a European beverage, with iced teas among a novel product range. Pepsi Natural (US) illustrates the simplicity trend. Austrian based AiQA offers innovative sports drinks marketed specifically to men or women including isomaltulose.
