Coconut water is still trending as a natural hydration alternative to sports drinks, with a true lifestyle beverage appeal. Recent launches have looked towards highlighting the origin of the coconut or innovative flavor combinations. For example, the Koh Coconut brand now features a 100% organic coconut water that is made from a special "pink baby" coconut, while Unoco is positioned as "raw coconut water." Life Tonics now offers a fusion of coconut water and mint, while Indi Coco has been expanded with a pineapple flavored offering. Innocent takes a simplicity approach in marketing their coconut water, while even retailer Waitrose now offers a product, which is positioned as: "simple and refreshing." We have even seen the launch of a "sparkling energy water" containing coconut.
