Australian Wool Network (AWN), the third largest broker, and the largest independent wool marketing company in Australia, is planning to significantly expand Hysport, the Australian luxury knitwear business it purchased in November 2014, as it looks to build on Hysport's large customer base with an expansion into exports over the next few years, and use AWN's DNA wool supply programme to provide traceability from the raw fibre to the consumer. Hysport, based in Melbourne and founded in 1971, is well-established in Australia, particularly in the tourism and travel retail sectors, and produces a wide range of knitwear garments and accessories for men and women under its MerinoSnug and Emaroo brands.
