On the basis of a case report, I want to discuss my experience with grief and its accompaniments in palliative care. Furthermore, issues will be addressed such as: accompanying a palliative patient whose daughter died of cancer three years earlier; establishing rapport with patients of different religious beliefs; the limits of psychotherapeutic aid: what it can offer and its acceptance. New models and approaches for accompaniment of grief.
