Penrith sewage Treatment Plant in Sydney, Australia, had an unusual intruder recently - a young male duckbilled platypus.rnThe animal was discovered in a pipe attached to an open tank of treated water. A rescue mission was put immediately into action. Contractors working at the site flushed the pipe, and the youngster was caught in a net by National Parks and rnWildlife Service rangers and taken to the vets where it received a clean bill of health.
