Crossness to get new pumps

Bedford pumps is implementing its latest multi-million-pound contract to manufacture, test, install and commission 13 pumps for the refurbishment of the Intake Pumping Station at Thames • Water's Crossness Sewage Treatment Works.rnThames Water is currently investing £220M to upgrade the works, which will enable the site to treat 44% more sewage than its current capability, and part of the upgrade was to construct a new intake pumping station to cater for the increased capacity. During the tendering period, Im-tech Process worked closely with Bedford Pumps to pro-rnvide a bespoke solution that involved utilising the existing intake pumping station,rnthereby making substantial savings in the capital costs of the project.
