The heat pump (1) has a rotor comprising a nozzle (3), a diffuser (4) and cylinders (2, 5), where the diffuser has an outlet cross section, which is larger than an inlet cross section of the nozzle. The pump condensates vapor of a working fluid (10) by deceleration of flow in the diffuser. The pump produces pressure in the cylinder (2) by heat, which is produced by friction in the working fluid. The pump presses the working fluid under pressure from the cylinder (2) into the nozzle, where the diffuser functions as a pressure recuperator.
