There are mixed fortunes for the two joint venture collaborations between Laing O'Rourke (LoR) and Imtech Water, Waste & Energy. LoRImtech has spent the past five years working as a Lot 1 (Clean Water Infrastructure) core contractor for one of three areas at Severn Trent Water. It has also been a Lot 3 (Non-infrastructure) reserve contractor. This alliance will continue with Severn Trent in AMP6, after the utility extended the contracts with all its seven design and build contractors. However, the other joint venture, Tamesis, will disband at "the conclusion of the existing projects" at Thames Water's Beckton and Crossness treatment works.
