Violence in schools is a growing concern for school districts, police departments and cities across the country. Bullying was a precipitating factor in the school shootings at Columbine and Santana High Schools. In fact, in almost three-quarters of school shootings nationwide, bullying and harassment were reported to be contributing factors.
