EPA Proposes Tighter Lead Rules

The Environmental Protection Agency plans to tighten its rules on lead in drinking water. Proposed revisions, announced in early July, would revise monitoring requirements and require utilities to receive state approval of treatment system changes, among other things. "This proposal reflects the administration's commitment to protect public health.
