Boat electronics specialist Sterling Power has launched a new range of MPPT solar charge controllers, to complete its solar range. The MPPT (maximum power point tracker) controller is one of the most important parts of a solar panel system. It's a converter that matches the voltage coming out of the solar array (PV) panels to your battery bank, to ensure the best charging rate. The new Sterling models have been built with very easy installation in mind, using hard-wired (screw clamp) terminals and self-sensing battery system voltage (12V or 24V).
