NUSEWERS, BRISBANE WATER'S LOW INFILTRATION SYSTEM

Wastewater networks have not changed in over 100 years and the benefits of new materials and technologies, including "NO DIG", have not been fully realised. The Brisbane Water solution, NuSewers, has been developed in conjunction with Vinidex, over five years of trials. NuSewers eliminates rubber ring joints by utilising fully welded polyethylene (PE) pipes and fittings. The system can be applied to both trench and trenchless installations using directional drilling, and offers opportunities not only for greenfield sites but also for the replacement of existing sewers and installation in built-up and environmentally sensitive areas.
