Vienna delivers for the Danube

The city of Vienna has grown around a number of rivers that weave their way through the city, including one of the greatest in Europe - the Danube. This has long meant that wastewater treatment is an issue of concern. Around 90% of the city's wastewater goes to a massive main wastewater treatment plant sited at the junction of the Danube canal and the Danube river.
