摘要

The invention relates to a method for determining contamination with heavy metals and pathogenic microflora in lake and wetland fauna, especially in Danube Delta. According to the invention, the method comprises the following steps: confining a sentinel area of toxicologic and microbial risk and establishing 5 monitoring points common for water, sediment and biological samples, preferably low zones with closed canals, selecting the matrix, preferably the sediment, for analyzing the metal concentration, the microbial flora from E. Coli and Vibrio spp., setting the sampling periodicity, the biomarkers of exposure to metals in benthic fish and non-sedentary wild birds, the microbiologic risk profile in benthic fish and migratory and sedentary birds, establishing the way of sampling, storing, transporting and analyzing water, sediment and biological samples from fish and birds and the statistic processing of environment and biotoxicologic data for the sentinel area, with a view to extrapolating them to the entire toxicologically and microbially contaminated surface.
