Facing future demand: developing a focused urban water response

摘要

The Spatial Planning and Institutional Reform Working Group of the IWA Cities of the Future programme includes water utility managers and experts from Australia as well as urban planning and sustainability professionals from the United States. This group has been considering how cities can achieve high quality and livable settings while responding to many issues such as meeting the needs of growing populations and the effects of climate change on the water cycle. The goals of the group are to identify approaches that water managers, in collaboration with other urban planning experts and decision makers, can identify to create high quality and livable urban and interconnected environments.
