One of the axioms of Murphy's Law states that "If something can go wrong, it will." One other axiom is "No matter how many safeguards are installed to make it safe, some well-meaning person will find a way around the safeguards to have their accident." The following water well drilling company employee injuries are possible examples of Murphy's Law. An office employee put a new mug into the office microwave oven to heat the water for a cup of tea. The telephone rang as she was punching in the run time for the microwave. After she finished what turned out to be a longer than expected telephone call, she opened the microwave, took out the mug, and dropped in a tea bag.
