Great salespeople are great listeners, not great talkers. In fact, if you listen hard enough, the customer will tell you exactly what to say to make them want to purchase. Many water treatment equipment salespeople do the same demonstration repeatedly and aren't really concerned with hot buttons. Some believe people always buy because of cost savings or soft skin. The truth is, there are as many reasons for buying as there are customers. It could be a reason you would never expect that clinches the sale, but you will never know what made the consumer purchase your product unless you ask.
