A team of scientists in Germany has developed a new method for identifying and analyzing artificial sweeteners in water. They applied this method, which can detect up to seven different artificialrnsweeteners, to samples of surface water and wastewater in Germany, finding four of the seven sweeteners persisted through wastewater treatment.
