Standard Chartered Bank officially launched retail banking services in Vietnam on June 27, 2007 at the Saigon Commercial Centre (37 Ton Duc Thang Street, District 1) The first branch is located in Ho Chi Minh City. Next year, the bank will open another in Hanoi. Under the plan, Standard Chartered will open 20-30 branches, install 250 ATMs and recruit some 500 employees in Vietnam in the next three vears.
