Crossing Borders: International Exchange and Planning Practices

摘要

Crossing Borders tackles the trajectory of planning ideas and techniques as they have travelled across time and national boundaries since the advent of modern planning in the 20th century. It consists of 15 scholarly articles, several of which were presented in draft at the ACSP/AESOP Joint Congress in Chicago in July 2008. The contributions were sought, selected and edited in tandem by Patsy Healey and Robert Upton who conceived the book project as part of the 10th founding anniversary of the journal Planning Theory and Practice in 2009 to "consider more explicitly" the international exchanges of planning ideas and practices in a variety of ways and perspectives.
