William Benjamin Cline Ⅳ

WILLIAM Benjamin Cline Ⅳ, one of the co-founders of prominent oil and gas consultancy Gaffney, Cline & Associates, died aged 87 last month. Cline, known to friends and acquainances as Ben, was a native New Yorker whose father's medical practice took him to Corpus Christi, Texas. A major fan of football and fast cars as a teenager, Cline saw his life take a different turn after contracting polio at age 18 and persisting through an arduous recovery. From there he opted to study petroleum engineering at Texas A&I (today Texas A&M-Kinesville).
