RUBICON Offshore is pressing ahead with legal proceedings against fellow Singapore-based company KrisEnergy as it filed another statutory demand in relation to a long-running depute over the termination of a floater charter deal off Thailand. KrisEnergy revealed last week that Rubicon had filed a statutory demand for about US$920,000 in the Cayman Islands against its subsidiary KrisEnergy (Gulf of Thailand) Ltd (KEGOT). The demand states that if payment is not made within 21 days of KEGOT receiving the demand notice, Rubicon could present the KrisEnergy subsidiary with a winding-up petition.
