BP looks to even more growth as profits double

UK supermajor BP more than doubled its underlying profit in 2018, boosted by upstream production growth, and now aims to further boost its exploration activity in the year ahead. BP posted a profit of $9.38 billion, up from just $3.39 billion over 2017, amid a jump in total revenues and other income to $303.7 billion from $244.6 billion year-on-year.
