Bid to extend contracts for Newfoundland semisubs

TRANSOCEAN has applied to Canadian authorities for permission to extend the use of two semi-submersible rigs operating off the province of Newfoundland to mid-2020. The Henry Goodrich is currently carrying out development drilling duties for Canadian operator Husky Energy on its White Rose complex, while the Transocean Barents is undertaking similar operations for another domestic oil company, Suncor Energy, on the Terra Nova field.
