Petrobras in hunt for ROVs

BRAZIL'S Petrobras has launched a tender to contract six remotely operated vehicles to carry out inspection and subsea intervention services at various offshore projects. Industry sources told Upstream that Petrobras has invited more than a dozen players including Fugro, Ocea-neering, Saipem, DOF Subsea and Veolia to submit commercial bids on 5 September. Petrobras divided the tender into three packages, each aimed at contracting a pair of ROVs for a two-year period. Lot A calls for operations beginning in November 2019, while Lot B has set a start date in December 2019 and Lot C in January 2020.
