CHINA'S Dalian Shipbuilding Industry Company Offshore (DSIC Offshore) is in advanced talks with domestic drilling contractor China Petroleum Offshore Engineering (CPOE) to charter two jack-up rigs for operations in the shallow-water Bohai Bay off northern China. Sources said the two DSJ 300 rigs were originally due for delivery in October, and later postponed to early November, but as DSIC and CPOE are still locked in talks about possible re-modification of the twin rigs, a sail-away schedule has not been finalised.
