BRAZIL'S Petrobras is edging closer to the award of contracts for three accommodation and maintenance (flotel) vessels after attempts by competing bidders to disqualify each other within the bounds of new tendering procedures aimed at ensuring open and competitive bidding. The company held a reverse auction in January after offering renewable three-year-terms for two big flotels and potentially winning bids came from Prosafe, offering the newly built Safe Eurus with a dayrate of $73,160, and OOS International, offering the OOS Tiradentes at $79,630.
