SAUDI Aramco is set to start the tender for a sizeable onshore contract comprising surface facilities for the expansion of its Uthmaniyah and Shedgum gas plants, with the project likely to be worth upwards of $2.5 billion. Project observers said Aramco is expected to issue tender documents soon to shortlisted engineering, procurement and construction players, following a pre-qualification exercise initiated earlier this year.
