Data on the transparence ranges of the chalcospinels of MM_2X_4-type (M-Zn, Cd, Mn, Eu, Yb: M'-Ca, In, Sb; X-S, Se) are given. Correlation between the width of optical transparence ranges and electromigrational parameters of the chalcospinels was established: the bathochromic shift is accompanied by the increase of electronic conduction and decrease of ionic part of conduction (from 10~-2 to 10 Sm/cm and from 95 to 6/100 for EuGa_2S_4 and CdIn_2Se_4 respectively). in the case of europium chalcospinels the influence of the donor-acceptor interaction on the short-wave limit position has been established.
