Canada: Shaft excavation for Toronto's downtown airport began last month. The Eirrean Quay shaft is on the mainland site of the Toronto Port Authority's CAD 82.5M (USD 83.8M) pedestrian tunnel that will link the city's island Billy Bishop Airport to the mainland at the foot of Bathurst Street.
