ACTION and Canberra's public transport was under intense media scrutiny throughout the first week of May. Initially, the ACT Budget, handed down on 5 May, received both positive and negative reaction. Such a diversity of views was not surprising when one considers that the proposed capital and operating budget for public transport in 2010-11 was the largest in the 20 year history of the ACT Government.
