The state of Iskander Malaysia, around Johor Bahru is carrying out a major rebranding and rearranging of bus services. To be known as Trans Iskandar, the system will have a revised fare system and integrated timetables for some 1,300 public buses in the region. Improvements such as wireless Internet and cashless payment are under discussion as well. The seven bus companies will continue to operate the services the but the state will monitor these to ensure that standards are being met and maintained.
