摘要

The next generation of reactors will require novel methods for on-line monitoring systems. The reprocessing of spent fuel will require detectors that are radiation hard and can withstand high temperatures and corrosive environments. Semiconductor detectors based on silicon carbide (SiC) may have the ability to determine actinide inventories in reprocessing streams based on alpha particle spectrometry. This would allow for the optimization of the fuel reprocessing system.
