Nuclear Security Risk Analysis in Nuclear Power Plant Decommissioning Phase

Although the Fukushima accident did not involve any attack related to nuclear security, it however exposes vulnerability with ripple effects. Some vulnerability assessments works have been analysed for process industries as indicated by. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) indicated broadly two types of risk: 1. Risk of unauthorized removal and 2. Risk of sabotage. With these in mind, plants undergoing decommissioning (e.g. San Onofre Generating Station 2&3 (SONGS) 2&3) adopt lessons learnt from the Fukushima event.
