New locos to boost QR presence in iron ore market

QR National, Australia's largest rail freight company, is boosting its capacity in the growing iron ore markets with its specialist bulk freight subsidiary ARG investing more than $35 million in locomotives. ARG has placed an order with UGL Rail for six C44ACi standard gauge locomotives to be used in its iron ore business, where it is expanding its operations in the emerging Yilgarn and mid-west regions of Western Australia.
