摘要

There is a method of evaluating stability and controllability, and noise dynamically (under road-load) on the bench to check the power steering (PS) performance effectively. This method holds significant promise of improving the evaluation reliability and reducing the lead time. On the bench, however, the excitation shafts for applying load interfered with each other, making it difficult to control application of road-load to individual shafts. In addition, the frequency response function between the input and output on which reproducibility on the bench depends sometimes became irregular and therefore the accuracy of reproducing running conditions was poor. We were able to reduce the difference between the responses on the road and bench by adopting a vehicle-suspension-like excitation sys-tem effective for preventing crosstalk and by smoothing the frequency response function.
