HILS(HARDWARE-IN-THE-LOOP-SIMULATION) SYSTEM FOR TESTING ELECTRIC POWER STEERING SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A HILS system for testing an electric power steering system is provided to reduce product development period and manufacturing cost by verifying the performance of the electric power steering system and increase the testing efficiency by carrying out repeated testing and preventing danger of a testing person. CONSTITUTION: A HILS system for testing an electric power steering system includes a hardware part for forming a steering part including a steering wheel(10), a steering column, a rack(11), a pinion(12), a motor, an ECU(Electronic Control Unit), and sensor, a real time simulation software part forming a tie rod(20), a steering linkage, chassis and tires by using a DSP(Digital Signal Processor)(20A), and a displacement sensor(LVDT) and an actuator(60) for connecting the hardware part with the software part, wherein the displacement sensor measures the displacement of the rack and the actuator realizes the force computed in the software part.
