A Nation and A Company Raised on Eco Challenges

At the beginning of this year Toyota announced its ECO Project, a public declaration featuring our ecology-oriented business philosophy. Since the announcement, we have received positive feedback about the Project from many people. It is well known that environmental challenges, borderless economies, global mega-competition and industrial hollowing out will remain key issues in the vision of a 21st century industry. Within this framework, the automotive industry will increasingly be challenged to develop vehicles that are friendly to people and the earth, resulting in a positive impression of the industry. The project correctly reflects this philosophy.
