As we reported last month, France's rail trade unions started a strike in early April and are maintaining a "programme" of two days of strikes followed by three days of working. By early May, there had been no significant change - although the number of strikers was slowly falling, the number of striking drivers and guards was still around 60%, meaning that only 30-50% of trains were able to operate.
