Justification of functional form assumptions in structural models: a correction

Dagsvik and Roine Hoff (2011) have proposed a version of the testing methodology of Iverson and Falmagne (1985) to test unions of inequalities in multinomial experiments. These inequalities arise from particular measurement axioms, such as stochastic transitivity and the quadruple condition. Unfortunately, the critical level of the test proposed in Theorem 7 of Dagsvik and R0ine Hoff (2011) is wrong, and we shall in this note provide a correction to Theorem 7. The proof of our revised result is similar to the argument in Sect. 4.1 of Iverson and Falmagne (1985).
