Civil rights of single men

I was surprised to read earlier this year that some miniature railways have banned lone males because of child protection fears. I am divorced, on my own, have had five children and have two great grandchildren. I was a police officer for more than 30 years, the last five of which were served as a child protection officer. Are they going to bar a person such as myself? This is a very misplaced and dangerous path to take.
