The Tarka Valley Railway Group, now boasting 150 members, is in talks concerning planning permission for a 300yard extension of track from Torrington station, alongside the Tarka Trail, plus two short sidings in the station area and improved access to the trail.rnUndergrowth has been cleared, fences extended to divide the track from the trail and old ballast is being graded ready for use on the new track.rnRestoration of a clay hood wagon is almost complete with work soon to start on a brakevan.
