New line opens at Cranmore

Construction of a permanent 7 1/4 in gauge line at the East Somerset Railway is well underway with the first section seeing passenger operation on April 12/13.rnFormal opening will be by Bob Symes on June 6.rnThe line runs from Cranmore signalbox alongside the standard gauge line and will eventually go all the way to Cranmore West station.rnOperating days mainly coincide with ESR events: June 6/7 (cider & cheese), June 21 (Fathers' Day), July 12/26, August 12/13/15/16 ('Thomas'), August 30/31 and September 20.
