Metro New Street extension

A One-mile extension of Midland Metro from Birmingham Snow Hill into the city centre and New Street station was given initial approval by the Government on March 18. If the ￡127m project gets the full go-ahead, it could be open by 2015.rnThe route would see rails laid into Upper Bull Street and Corporation Street, finally terminating in Stephenson Street, just outside one of the new entrances to the new Gateway (New Street) station.
