Duke opens refurbished Bury museum

The East Lancashire Railway's Bury Transport Museum was reopened by the Duke of Gloucester on March 26.rnAfter closure in 2003 due to concerns about the roof, the Grade lI-listed former East Lancashire Railway goods warehouse dating from 1848 at Castlecroft, Bury, has undergone a two-year ￡3million restoration.rnIt houses historic road and rail vehicles, transport artefacts and inter-active displays telling the story of local transport through the ages.
