Rail trades unions in merger talks

THE Rail, Maritime & Transport (RMT) has agreed to formal talks that could lead to a merger with the TSSA (Transport Salaried Staffs Association). Initial discussions will focus on closer working between both unions, initially throuqh a federation structure with a view to moving towards a merger.
