Kinq Edward I moves to Royal Scot Trust

Gwr King No. 6024 King Edward I has spent several months at Bristol Barton Hill depot undergoing winter maintenance with the aim of obtaining a 12-month boiler ticket extension. As we went to press, the boiler had passed its cold exam ready for a steam exam in March. If this is successful, the boiler ticket will get a year's extension. The loco's proposed transfer to the Royal Scot Locomotive Group Trust was close to completion as this edition went to press with 6024 Society members due to be told the fine detail at the annual meeting on March 5.
