DB orders more'Talent2'EMUs

German regional operator DB Regio has ordered 51 more Class 442 'Talent2' EMUs from Bombardier in a contract worth 200million euros. The 15 four-car and 36 three-car air-conditioned EMUs will have a special silver & green livery for use on the S-Bahn Mitteldeutschland network around Leipzig from December 2013. DB has now ordered 287 'Talent2' EMUs from a potential total of 321 agreed in the original 2007 contract with Bombardier. The first Talent2' trains are now more than a year late due to problems gaining safety approvals for the software.
