Talent2 EMUs for Leipzig

DB Regio has ordered 51 more Class 442 Talent2 EMUs from Bombardier in a contract worth 200m. The 36 three-car and four-car air-conditioned EMUs which will have a special sliver and green livery will enter service in December 2013 on the S-Bahn Mitteldeutschland network centred in Leipzig. DB has now ordered 287 Talent2 EMUs (from a possible total of 321 agreed in the original 2007 contract with Bombardier). Now over a year late none have entered service yet.
